Visit to Eastern Mining Company

The representatives of FIPA and the Municipality of Vareš visited the company Eastern Mining which is owned by Adriatic Metals pls. from the United Kingdom. 

Eastern Mining has been operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2013, and since 2017 it has been taken over by investors from the UK. They operate in the mining sector and are currently doing geological research. By 2023, they plan to become the largest exporter in BiH, and employ a significant number of workers.

During the meeting, the company's representatives pointed out finding the workforce needed to carry out all activities as one of the challenges they face.

Although obstacles at the very beginning of operations in BiH were certain administrative barriers, they pointed out that in the last period there has been much more efficient and closer cooperation with representatives of competent institutions, which resulted in the recent obtaining of exploitation and environmental permits.

Representatives of the company spoke positively about doing business in BiH, and pointed out that BiH is an excellent destination for investors.
