Bosnia and Herzegovina will host a large Chinese business delegation from September 3 to 6, comprising more than 100 representatives of Chinese companies, business organizations, and other institutions. The visit is organized by the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA), the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the People’s Republic of China.
The visit represents a significant opportunity to further strengthen economic relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the People’s Republic of China, establish new business contacts, and create opportunities for concrete cooperation between companies from the two countries.
Business forums are scheduled to take place in Sarajevo and Banja Luka, bringing together representatives of Chinese and Bosnian-Herzegovinian companies, institutions, and business organizations to present business and investment opportunities, exchange information, and explore new avenues for cooperation.
The central part of the program in Sarajevo is scheduled for September 3, when a business forum will be held in the Main Hall of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The forum will provide an opportunity to present Chinese business representatives with investment and business opportunities, as well as possibilities for implementing concrete projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the same time, companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina will have the opportunity to showcase their potential and establish direct contacts with Chinese business partners.
The large number of participants and the diverse range of companies and institutions represented in the Chinese delegation demonstrate the growing interest of the Chinese business community in cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina. The visit provides an important platform for connecting business representatives, exchanging experiences, and identifying concrete opportunities for future investments and business projects.
The Chinese delegation consists of representatives of companies, business organizations, and other entities operating across a wide range of sectors, including information technology, energy, agriculture, the metal sector, international trade, digital services, medical equipment, digital healthcare and artificial intelligence in diagnostics, construction, infrastructure development, and integrated engineering services.
Areas of interest also include the production and supply of construction materials and non-metallic mineral products, electrical equipment, industrial machinery and equipment, renewable energy sources, energy-efficient solutions, power engineering, telecommunications, environmental protection, water and wastewater treatment, mining and mine safety, the food industry, international transport, and logistics.
The delegation also includes representatives of investment, financial, and consulting organizations, as well as entities operating in the fields of education, research and development, the digital economy, e-commerce, international trade, and business networking.
The participation of representatives of chambers of commerce, business associations, educational and research institutions, and international trade platforms adds significant value to the visit, creating opportunities not only for direct business contacts but also for strengthening institutional, technological, and investment cooperation.
The composition of the Chinese delegation demonstrates that the interest of the Chinese business community in Bosnia and Herzegovina spans a wide range of sectors, from energy, infrastructure, and industry to agriculture and the food sector, as well as digital technologies, artificial intelligence, healthcare, finance, and sustainable development.
The business forums in Sarajevo and Banja Luka are expected to serve as important platforms for presenting Bosnia and Herzegovina’s investment potential, promoting concrete projects, establishing new business contacts, and opening up new opportunities for investment and trade cooperation. The ultimate goal is to further strengthen economic relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the People’s Republic of China.
