Visit of the FIPA representatives to the Comsar Energy RS - Business Unite of Ugljevik

Within Aftercare activities, the FIPA representatives visited on 30 September 2014 the company of "Comsar Energy Republika Srpska" Ltd. Banja Luka - Business Unite Ugljevik, and met with the Director of the Business Unite Ugljevik Lazar Stojanović. The meeting was focused on the company’s experience when it comes to the business environment in BiH, obstacles and problems faced by the company in business and on plans of the future expansion. The meeting was also attended by the representative of the Municipality of Ugljevik.

Comsar Energy Group is investing around 1 billion EUR in a number of major energy projects –the energy production, renewables, infrastructure, trading and network projects – across South Eastern Europe, including the construction of a new state-of-the-art TPP Ugljevik 3.

TPP Ugljevik 3 will have installed capacity of 2 x 300MW and will generate about 4,2TWh of electricity per year. The total value of the investment in TPP Ugljevik 3 will be around 750 million EUR (together with the Mine) with 800 employees.

The Project of TPP Ugljevik 3 is based on modern and efficient technology of the coal combustion and will completely fulfil all requests according to the EU environmental directives into force.
