The BiH Ambassador to China visited FIPA

The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) Marko Kubatlija spoke with Siniša Berjan, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to China, about the possibilities for economic cooperation between the two countries. 

The Director Kubatlija primarily introduced the Ambassador to the services that FIPA offers to foreign investors, activities in the field of attracting foreign investors, cooperation with other competent institutions, and planned activities during 2025.

They also discussed the current situation of Chinese investments in BiH.

According to data from the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the People's Republic of China had invested a total of 114.4 million BAM by December 31, 2023.

Chinese companies in BiH are registered for trade, production and services.

The Ambassador Berjan emphasized that there is space for improving economic cooperation between the two countries, pointing out the importance of the presence of representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina at fairs in China, with a focus on fairs in Ningbo and Shanghai, which provide excellent opportunities for establishing cooperation.

In addition to participating in economic events in China, it was agreed that FIPA and the Embassy will work together to prepare a promotional brochure that will promote political and economic relations between the two countries, with a focus on BiH's potential for attracting Chinese investors.
