Agencija za unapređenje stranih investicija u Bosni i Hercegovini

Deputy Director of FIPA, PhD Sanja Bazina Crnokić met today with Mr Juan Jose Otamendi Garcia-Jalon, Deputy Assistant Director of the Department for Foreign Trade Policy and Investment at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Kingdom of Spain, and Mrs Ana María Mazo Martínez, Head of the Office for Economy and Trade of the Embassy of Spain in Zagreb.

The aim of the visit is to improve current economic relations and cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides agreed that there is space for improving the current situation and that it is necessary to organize business events with the aim to make Spanish businessmen familiarized with the business environment and investment opportunities offered by Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the meeting, they discussed existing Spanish investors in our country, the Aftercare program implemented by FIPA, as well as the role of the Agency in the investment process.

BiH's candidacy status in the EU was certainly an indispensable topic when talking about investments. PhD Sanja Bazina Crnokić emphasized the readiness of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the State in general to enter the European Union and added that this is an opportunity that should be used for stronger promotion of BiH potential and increasing the inflow of investments from European countries.

The cooperation between these two institutions will certainly continue through the realization of a business event in October this year in Sarajevo focused on the promotion of wine and renewable energy sources, which will be organized by Spanish institutions.
