Prevent officially takes over Cimos Srebrenica

Prevent Group officially took over on 6 March the factory Cimos Srebrenica, which has been operating since 2005 and, apart from the core business of car parts production; the processes of the company include welding technology, mechanical machining and stamping. 

Continued production activities were ensured in Srebrenica, as well as retained jobs for at least 101 employees with this investment.

"The sale of the factory in Srebrenica belongs to the process of operational restructuring of the Cimos, which brings change and improves the structure of the company, its internal processes with the aim of laying the foundations for sustainable long-term business growth and re-group of the Cimos, which will continue to be present on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina", said the regional manager in BiH Goran Dimc, adding that sale of the factory to the Prevent Group provides an opportunity for further economic recovery of this environment.

With this investment, Prevent Group will strengthen competitiveness in Srebrenica in the future period.

"We are continuing with investments that strengthen the long-term economic development and competitiveness of Bosnia and Herzegovina. With take-over of this factory, we will expand the product assortment, diversify the structure of customers and products, and continue to strengthen our presence in Srebrenica", said Head of the Management Board of Prevent BiH Almir Jazvin during signing the contract and welcomed 101 new employees who will join the Prevent Group in BiH.

Prevent Group in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the engine of development of BiH economy and operates at ten production sites.

In Srebrenica, Prevent already produces upholstery for the handbrake and employs over 80 employees.

By taking over the company Cimos Srebrenica, Prevent will continue producing parts for an automobile industry, and by the synergy of manufacturing assortment, further support the economic recovery in the region, announced the Prevent.
