New investment in the field of renewable energy sources in BiH

The Norwegian company for renewable energy sources Greenstat in partnership with the company GP Toming d.o.o from Grude has started the construction of the Petjnik solar power plant with a capacity of 45 MW in the Municipality of Grude. 

The BiH Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) had several meetings with representatives of the Norwegian company Greenstat in both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Norway to present the business environment and investment opportunities in BiH.

The 45 MW Petjnik solar power plant project is expected to be completed in the autumn of 2023 with an estimated annual production of 65 GWh.

This is Greenstat's first international investment, following an assessment of solar projects in Europe in the last 12 months.

The Petjnik project development plan is as follows:

• Basic works have been initiated
• Installation begins in June 2022
• Installation of solar panels is going to begin in the first quarter of 2023
• Commissioning is planned at the end of 2023
