Low inflow of investments from Pakistan to BiH

Representatives of the National Defense University of Pakistan visited the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency in BiH (FIPA) to have information about the economic cooperation between BiH and Pakistan. 

Director Milinić welcomed the Pakistani delegation, and informed it on the Agency's responsibilities, cooperating with other BiH institutions and embassies in the field of attracting investments. He recalled the previous meetings with Pakistani businessmen which, unfortunately, did not result in investment.

The registered inflow of investments from Pakistan to BiH is less than BAM 100,000 and therefore there is space for its improvement. Advantages and reasons for investing in BiH were presented, emphasizing the existence of signed preferential trade agreements / EU, CEFTA, EFTA, including the status of foreign investors in BiH, as well as investment sectors.

Available investment projects of the military industry as well as projects of other sectors of BiH were presented to the delegation, including information on the realization of possible strategic projects and possibilities for cooperation with BiH companies in the military industry.
