Inter-institutional cooperation: FIPA - Ministry of Economy of Tuzla Canton

Representatives of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) visited the Ministry of Economy of Tuzla Canton as part of the activities of cooperation with institutions and solving open questions of investors. 

The topics of the meeting were the activities of the Collaborative Network in 2024 and the plan to visit companies in the area of Tuzla Canton, as well as investment projects of importance for investments.

Namely, since its establishment, the Ministry of Economy has been a member of the Collaborative Network for Investor Support, whose coordinator is FIPA, which was formed with the technical support of the IFC-World Bank.

For the purpose of analysing the operations of companies with foreign capital participation, as well as planning visits to foreign investors in the area of this Canton, data on foreign companies will be collected (number of employees, amount of realized income, profits, exports and country of origin of foreign capital).

The aforementioned data should contribute to the improvement of the visits that are continuously carried out within the Collaborative Network, which are a way, with the help of structured questionnaires and interviews, to gather information about business and identify administrative barriers to investment, and then to find modalities for solving them.
