Inflow of foreign investments in BiH in 2021
03/28/2022
According to preliminary data from the Central Bank of BiH, foreign direct investment in 2021, with estimated retained earnings, amounts to BAM 869,900,000, which is an increase of 22.1% compared to 2020 when it was recorded BAM 712,700,000.
It is important to point out the fact that in the last two years, BiH has recorded an increase in investment, and thus an increase in the number of employees. Also, the need for cooperation of institutions at different levels of governments in BiH to improve the conditions for new investments should be emphasized, because we desperately need foreign investors due to the slow economic development of the country and the still high percentage of unemployed.
FIPA will continue to work on the promotion of the country and currently available investment projects, to find new contacts, and to organize economic meetings with the aim to find new foreign investors for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
