The construction of the first wind farm in RS in the village of Trusina near Nevesinje will start in May this year, and the connection to the network is expected in the summer of next year.

This information was confirmed on Thursday in Nevesinje by Danko Končar, owner of the London's company "Kermas' which will invest about 65 million EUR in this project. The concession for the construction of the wind farm was awarded to the company 'Eol prvi' in 2012.

Wind speed in Trusina is significantly higher than the European average, which despite somewhat lower incentive price of electricity, makes this project profitable.

Zlatko Mandžuka, Director of 'Eol prvi ", based in Nevesinje said that it took a lot of time to explore the potential of wind and to satisfy legal procedures, so that conditions were only now acquired for buying equipment and implementing works.
