The First Diaspora Investment Forum will be held in Prijedor on 11 and 12 August 2013.
"Prijedor is a city with the highest investments from diaspora, and we hope investments will double after the Forum, since already now a huge number of participants confirmed their arrival, and we are optimistic. That primarily relates to announcements of investments and concrete decisions", said Professor Sanel Jakupovic on behalf of organizers.
"Nasa perspektiva" nongovernmental organization is also included in this forum and its president Armin Alijagic said that they want to stimulate diaspora to invest to its place of birth, and to contribute to business cooperation of domestic businessmen with diaspora community with goal of increasing the overall standard of Prijedor and the region.
BIH International Diaspora Association and BIH Foreign Trade Chamber, are forum's partners, which is organized for the first time in the world, and t Norwegian Embassy to BIH and Swiss Office for Development and Cooperation supported its organization.
Prijedor Mayor Marko Pavic said that "Austronet", "Nordwest" and Alijagic farm are great examples of diaspora providing progress in economic development of the city.
