FIPA visit to the company JWC Boswood Co Ltd. Kiseljak

Within the Aftercare program, the representative of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) Gordana Radović visited on 8 December 2015 JWC Boswood Co Ltd. Kiseljak, representing an investment from the United Arab Emirates. 

JWC Boswood Co. was founded in 1998, by buying a local company, and the main activity is the production of sawn timber intended for foreign markets (UAE, China, Jordan, Yemen, Egypt and Austria).

According to the Director General Mr Ouael Asremp, the wood quality is the most important factor that influenced the decision to invest in BiH, including the fact that 60% of BiH is covered by forest.

The company currently employs 50 workers, but in the coming period it could be new employments and investments.

The meeting was also focused on the business environment in BiH, the obstacles they face in their business, as well as on how to improve the business climate in order to attract new foreign investments.
