FIPA PRESENTATION AT THE TOURISM DAYS FAIR IN SARAJEVO

Within the Fair of Tourism Days which is being held in the Centre of Skenderija in Sarajevo from 28th to 31st March 2011, the FIPA representative Adrijana Maric presented on 29th March the development and investment opportunities in the tourism sector of B&H, emphasizing the fact that these potentials could significantly affect the economic development of the whole country, which is also demonstrated in the increasing number of tourist visits to B&H. 

 

Promising forms of tourism that B&H has to offer are winter and mountain tourism, eco and spa tourism, cultural heritage and religious tourism, adventure tourism, sports and seaside tourism.

FIPA estimates that it is necessary to realize new investment in construction of new tourist capacities, to improve existing facilities, to privatize hotels, to commercialize national parks, investment in infrastructure, etc.

The latest tourist trends indicate that new and under- explored destinations are becoming increasingly interesting for tourists, and that in the future large investments are expected in these areas, considering that B&H is among such destinations.
