FIPA Director talked with a Delegation from Chinese Company Jiangsu New Power Energy Co. Ltd.

The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA), Marko Kubatlija, received a delegation from the Chinese company Jiangsu New Power Energy Co. Ltd., which visited the Agency to learn about investment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Director Kubatlija and his associates informed businesspeople about the Agency's work and activities to attract potential investors, legal framework, current investment projects and investment locations from the FIPA database of existing projects, as well as about the services that FIPA provides to investors through the Aftercare post-investment cooperation project.

FIPA has been investigating investment locations for the aforementioned Chinese company, which is interested in the production of aerated concrete block slabs, for a long time, and in cooperation with local communities,; it organized visits to investment locations in Trebinje, Živinice, Brčko, Gacko, etc.

The Chinese company has particularly expressed interest in projects in the wood industry and furniture production, raw materials for the production of construction materials (cement, lime, ash, gypsum), especially concrete, and for larger projects in the agricultural sector.

The company has headquartered in Xuzhou, China, it was founded in 1999, and after more than 20 years of operation, it has more than 20 companies. It focuses on thermoelectric power generation, coal trading, paper production, new construction materials, logistics and storage in ports, high-class hotels, and the environmental protection and management industry. It has over 1,000 employees. Total revenues last year amounted to around 420 million EUR.
