FIPA at the conference "Sarajevo Wood Days 5"

The wood cluster "Furniture and wood" of BiH with partners organized the international wood technology conference "Sarajevo Wood Days 5", which was held on November 2 and 3 in the Skenderija Center. 

The panels within the conference discussed the state and prospects of forestry and wood industry in FBiH and BiH, energy transition and renewable energy sources, environmental protection, promotion of wood industry exports, cogeneration (production of electricity from biomass), and investment opportunities.

Within the aforementioned conference, Tanja Bojović-Simić, representative of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA), had a presentation on the potential of the timber sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighting the Agency's activities and the way in which it promotes the potential of the BiH economy in the country and abroad, investment projects in the wood sector, as well as the current level of foreign investments in this sector.

The conference was attended by representatives of FIPA, the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, the Chamber of Commerce of the FBiH, university professors, and a large number of representatives of domestic companies from Žepče, Tešanj, Teslić, Banjaluka, Sarajevo, etc.
