MOST MODERN GREENHOUSE IN WESTERN BALKANS TO OPEN IN SEKOVICI NEXT WEEK

A ceremony marking the opening of the most modern greenhouse in the Western Balkans, located at the first eco-plant specialized in producing high quality organic medicinal herbs, honey and hives, will be held at Bisina Plateau, the Municipality of Sekovici, on 21st June. 

A ceremony marking the opening of the most modern greenhouse in the Western Balkans, located at the first eco-plant specialized in producing high quality organic medicinal herbs, honey and hives, will be held at Bisina Plateau, the Municipality of Sekovici, on 21st June.

The greenhouse is located on the area of former barracks, covering 5,017 m2.

Through the production of lavender and honey plants, used for bees’ grazing, it will employ up to 100 women from rural communities of the Municipalities Sekovici, Zivinice and Osmaci.

Mozaik Foundation, with support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is implementing the project "EkoBilje - Empowering women through organic production of medicinal herbs," worth 2.9 million KM.
