Delegation of the Municipality of Ljubuški visited FIPA

The delegation of the Municipality of Ljubuški, led by the Mayor of the Municipality, Mr.Nevenko Barbarić, and the President of the Municipal Council of Ljubuški, Mr. Tihomir Kvesić, with the heads of Service for Economy and Finance, Services for Spatial Planning, Property, Legal and Cadastre Affairs and the Service for Housing and Communal and Inspection Affairs visited FIPA on 24 April 24 2018. 

The Deputy Director of FIPA, Mrs. Damirka Mioč with her associates presented the work and activities of FIPA on the promotion of BiH, introduced them the way of cooperation, finding investors when it comes to investment projects, and the way of promotion and support to foreign investors when they come to BiH .

The Mayor Nevenko Barbarić, presented the current situation in the Municipality of Ljubuški related to investments, the main and available natural potentials, the investment profitability, human resources, the quality of life, the infrastructure benefits, the existing business zones, the promotional activities that are being carried out, etc.

Furthermore, it was pointed out that this Municipality, as well as the entire West Herzegovina Canton, in terms of "administrative barriers" for investors often mentioned in public, do not have such problems, and that all these issues are being solved in a very quick and efficient way.

This Municipality is one of the Municipalities with the lowest utility and other municipal fees in BiH.

This is supported by the valuable recognition in the field of economy and potential opportunities for foreign investments due to which the specialized foreign direct investment magazine FDI Magazine ranked this Canton among the Top 10 destinations in the category of Small European Regions of the future 2018/19.

In the following period, the Municipality prepares the creation of an Investment Guide for this area.

Also, it was praised the engagement of representatives of FIPA regarding the visit of foreign investors from the United States, who, among other things, visited the Municipality of Ljubuški a month ago, and expressed a concrete interest in investing in the business zone Zvirići.

A further more intensive cooperation between the Municipality and the FIPA was agreed.
