BUSINESS FORUM OF BUSINESSMEN OF B&H AND REPUBLIC OF POLAND

Business Forum of businessmen of B&H and the Republic of Poland was held in Sarajevo from 4th to 5th June 2012.  

According to the President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of B&H, Bruno Bojic, the Forum is supposed to enable the increase of volume of the foreign trade exchange and the increase of investments.

''The volume of exchange between B&H and the Republic of Poland amounted to 160 million Euros in 2011. It is mostly about agricultural products, furniture and products of metal industry, chemistry...'', said Bojic.

According to Bojic, the Forum should contribute to the increase of investments in the field of wood sector, metal industry, and a greater exploitation of B&H potentials in the metal sector and agriculture.

The President of the Polish - Balkans Chamber of Commerce, Andrzej Zarajczyk, said to the press that representatives of the Polish business delegation are mostly interested in participation in projects of revitalization of railways in B&H, and in the assembly of agricultural machines in B&H.

The Polish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Marek Sawicki, emphasized that the aim of this meeting is the exchange of experiences and providing information on possibilities of a future cooperation of businessmen of the two countries.

''Poland is dynamically developing regardless of the last year's crisis in EU. Polish economy most dynamically developed in 2011 in the zone of EU'', said Sawicki.

The Ambassador of Poland to BiH, Jerzi Chmielewski emphasized that B&H has great industrial and tourism potentials for investments.

The Polish business delegation consisted of representatives of 13 companies from the fields of metal, wood and automobile industry, energy, construction, infrastructure, agriculture, hospitality and other fields.
