BIH DIASPORA MARKETPLACE REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS



USAID Harnessing BiH Diaspora for Economic Development Activity invites eligible companies to submit applications for increasing of diaspora direct investment and creation of new job opportunities through equity contribution, diaspora knowledge transfer, the introduction of new technologies, etc.

The Bosnian Diaspora Marketplace (BDM) is a Business Plan Competition, geared towards support of new diaspora-spurred business ventures in BiH.  It also provides assistance to existing diaspora-linked businesses for the expansion of operations, for the companies formed over the past three years.

Interested companies that are legally registered and recognized under the BiH Laws, can download the Request for Applications (RFA) at www.diasporainvest.ba :

The RFA will be opened on August 25 2017 at 12 noon, and closed for applications on September 30 2017 at 5 PM.

The completed BDM Small Grant Application, along with signed ancillary documents, must be delivered electronically via e-mail at grants@diasporainvest.ba and in hard copy to the Activity’s Sarajevo Office at Mjedenica 52, 71000 Sarajevo, no later than 4 PM on September 30, 2017.  The Applicants should follow the application instructions provided in the RFA above.

All Applicants, both accepted and rejected after the initial review, will be notified of their status by October 30, 2017.  Accepted applications will be asked to “proceed in cycle” and provide additional information or clarifications, as needed, in order to continue in the BDM Business Plan Competition.
