Belgian Ambassador to BiH visited FIPA

The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) Marko Kubatlija received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to BiH H.E. Christine Detaille to discuss the current economic cooperation between the two countries and the possibilities for its improvement. 

Director Kubatlija informed the Ambassador about the Agency's activities in the field of promoting BiH potential, available investment projects, services it provides to investors at all stages of investment, and current cooperation with international organizations with a focus on investments.

According to data from the Central Bank of BiH, total foreign investments from the Kingdom of Belgium, as of December 31, 2023, amounted to BAM 32.5 million.

In 2024, direct foreign investments from the Kingdom of Belgium amounted to BAM 2.3 million.

The Ambassador Detaille emphasized the need to promote Bosnia and Herzegovina and its potential in Brussels in order to strengthen cooperation and attract investments from Belgium. She also spoke about the importance of Bosnia and Herzegovina's European integration in the context of attracting investments, emphasizing her readiness to help connect the relevant institutions.

There is possibilities for improving cooperation through cooperation with regional agencies and business associations in Belgium.

The possibilities of organizing a promotional event in Brussels to present the potential of BiH were also discussed.
