CLDP programs have included extensive capacity building for judiciary in intellectual property, including assistance with writing and publishing a judicial “benchbook” with guidance for judges on intellectual property, as well as other commercial issues such as bankruptcy and insolvency and adjudication of international sales contracts disputes. CLDP also works to promote the international arbitration regime in BiH, including cooperation with the Association ARBITRI.
Established in 1992, CLDP is a division of the U.S. Department of Commerce that helps achieve U.S. foreign policy goals in developing and post-conflict countries through commercial legal reforms.
The Director Milinić stressed the need to adopt modern legal solutions in BiH with the aim of improving the country's competitiveness and attracting significant foreign investment.
