Chinese Business Delegation Visits Local Communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Opportunities for New Investments and Concrete Projects

The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) addressed Chinese business representatives during a meeting in Brod, emphasizing the importance of direct connections between the two business communities and the presentation of concrete investment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mr. Kubatlija stressed that economic cooperation should not be limited to discussions, but should focus primarily on concrete projects, investments, the exchange of expertise, and direct connections between businesses.

“That is precisely why it is particularly important for us today to present the potential of our cities and municipalities, including their investment locations, available resources, business zones, infrastructure, and sectors offering opportunities for the development of new projects. Bosnia and Herzegovina has significant potential across a wide range of areas – from industry, energy, and infrastructure to agriculture and the food industry, as well as tourism, the IT sector, and other modern industries,” Kubatlija said.

He particularly emphasized the importance of direct contact between business representatives, noting that face-to-face meetings are essential for building trust, understanding the needs of both sides, and identifying concrete opportunities for cooperation.

“I believe that today’s meetings will be highly valuable and will lead to new contacts, ideas, and projects. Bosnia and Herzegovina is committed to being a reliable partner to Chinese companies and investors. At the same time, we believe that Chinese companies, with their knowledge, experience, technology, and capital, can play an important role as partners in the development of our local communities and the economy as a whole,” the FIPA Director stated.

The visit of the Chinese business delegation to Brod also provided an opportunity to showcase the investment potential of the local community and discuss prospects for future cooperation with Chinese companies.

FIPA has maintained a long-standing and highly successful partnership with the Municipality of Brod, working closely with both the previous and the current Mayor to promote investment opportunities and support the development of the local business environment.
