The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA), Marko Kubatlija, together with his associates, participated in the business event “Days of Tuzla in Prague,” which was held at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and organized by the Tuzla Canton Chamber of Commerce and the Czech-Bosnian Chamber of Commerce from Prague.

During the event, a working meeting was held with Mr Martin Pospíšil, Director of the Department for European Countries at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and information in the fields of trade and foreign direct investment, with particular emphasis on investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector as well as on regulations and the future framework of the CBAM mechanism.

Discussions also focused on future investment strategies within the European Union, as well as on strengthening the positioning of Bosnia and Herzegovina and highlighting its potential on the global investment map. The participants agreed to enhance future cooperation, including facilitating connections between FIPA and other relevant institutions that can contribute to the development of economic relations between the Czech Republic and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the B2B meetings, contact was established with Eva Langerová, Project Manager at the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic, enabling an exchange of information on attractive locations and investment projects. It was also agreed to organise a visit by several potential investors to Sarajevo, following the appointment of an economic counsellor at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The parties also agreed that FIPA’s promotional materials could be featured on the websites of these institutions, further contributing to the promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s investment potential.
