Citizens of the following countries are exempt from the visa requirement

B) Holders of valid ordinary passports of the following countries do not require a visa to enter, exit or transit the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina in accordance with concluded agreements:

C) Holders of diplomatic and official passports of the following countries do not require a visa to enter, exit or transit the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina in accordance with concluded agreements:

7. Morocco

 

D) Holders of business passports of the following countries do not require a visa to enter, exit or transit the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina:

1. Hong Kong, People's Republic of China

2. Macau, People's Republic of China

3. Taiwan, People's Republic of China

 

 

E) Application for a visa

 

Bosnian-Herzegovinian visas are issued at the diplomatic and consular missions of Bosnia and Herzegovina abroad.

 

For a private visit, a letter of invitation (guarantee) from a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, certified by the competent authority, must be submitted together with the visa application.

 

For business travel, a letter of invitation from a business partner in Bosnia and Herzegovina, certified by the competent authority, is required and must be submitted together with the visa application.

 

Along with the visa application, the foreign national must submit one passport photograph.

 

Single-entry/exit or transit visa €31.00

Multiple entry/exit or transit visa up to 90 days €57.00

Multiple entry/exit or transit visa over 90 days 72.00 EUR

 

NOTE 1:

From 01.06.2025. to 30 September 2025, citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman holding ordinary passports are exempt from the requirement to obtain a visa for entry, exit, transit and stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The total period of stay for citizens of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the specified period is up to 30 days.

After this period has expired, entry to and stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina is permitted without the obligation to obtain a visa if they hold a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa or visas for EU countries, or a corresponding residence permit in the territories of the Schengen or EU countries, following a check by the BiH border police.

Note 2:

Citizens of countries with which Bosnia and Herzegovina has a visa regime may enter Bosnia and Herzegovina with a passport, without the obligation to obtain a visa for entry, exit, transit and stay on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, provided they hold a valid multiple-entry visa or a residence permit issued by the Schengen Agreement signatory states, the member states of the European Union or the United States of America.

(The period of stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the aforementioned& nbsp; cases, a total stay of 90 days in any 180-day period is possible, provided that a single uninterrupted stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina does not exceed 30 days and within the validity of the visa or residence permit issued by the aforementioned countries.
