Services

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has tasked the Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Investments with providing support to foreign direct investment and facilitating the inflow of foreign investment into our country. The Agency collaborates with government institutions and investors, and assists the competent authorities in improving the legal framework for foreign investment. FIPA also helps investors establish contacts with the public and private sectors of BiH.

Indicators relating to investment inflows, the establishment of contacts, and studies of economic sectors prepared by FIPA experts and independent consultants, enable investors to be fully informed about the investment opportunities that Bosnia and Herzegovina currently offers. Furthermore, FIPA also works closely with the embassies and diplomatic missions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which can also assist investors in exploring investment opportunities in our country.

FIPA provides information, analysis and advice to potential investors on the business and investment environment, including:

  • Legislation relating to foreign direct investment

  • Incentives relating to investments

  • Economic and business developments in the country

FIPA identifies and presents existing BH opportunities for foreign investment:

  • Investment projects in the development phase or projects that are already ready for implementation

  • Companies in the process of privatisation

  • Domestic firms seeking a foreign business partner

FIPA provides assistance to potential investors and those who have already invested in the country through:

  • Cooperation with the public and private sectors

  • Cooperation with governmental and non-governmental institutions to facilitate economic development

  • Cooperation with local, regional and international organisations to improve the investment environment
