Establishment of a representative office of foreign persons in BiH

A foreign person may establish a Representation in BiH for the purpose of market research, carrying out propaganda and informational activities, and for their own representation. The Representation does not have the status of a legal entity, i.e. a Representation may not conclude contracts on behalf of its founder, with the exception of the Representation of foreign air carriers, which may sell transport documents in accordance with intergovernmental agreements and international conventions concluded or acceded to by Bosnia and Herzegovina. A representative office may commence operations after being entered into the Register of Representative Offices of Foreign Entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is maintained by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH is obliged to decide on the application for registration within 10 days of its submission.
