The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said it invested 125 million euro in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2012.
The biggest EBRD-backed project in Bosnia in 2012 was the Doboj-Banja Luka road section which received a tranche of 75 million euro in EBRD funding. A further 75 million euro tranche in EBRD funding for the same project is due to be committed in 2013.
The bank also said it lent 22 million euro in total in support of the B&H financial institutions last year, inclusive of regional projects.
In 2013, the EBRD’s funding operations in the B&H’s private sector will focus on energy efficiency and environmental protection, boosting the competitiveness of local businesses and supporting export-oriented projects and companies.
